  • Lead cross-government strategic policy and projects to strengthen the state's disaster resilience
  • Enhance decision-making and investments, including by delivering grant programs
  • Future-proof volunteering by better attracting, retaining and supporting volunteers
  • Represent our community at national forums to build a stronger emergency management system

Corporate Advice & Delivery

  • Provide a reliable and safe ICT environment that facilitates the emergency services sector
  • Equip those on the frontline with WHS support and deliver efficient, compassionate injury management
  • Deliver expert HR and workforce services, guiding the sector across the employee lifecycle
  • Enable land acquisitions and capital projects to support fit-for-purpose facilities

Assurance

  • Monitor sector performance and manage compliance structures to ensure public accountability
  • Provide rigorous financial management, procurement advice, and transparent budget frameworks

Strategic Operations

SAFECOM works collaboratively with a broad range of community and government stakeholders, as well as its emergency service sector partners: the SA Country Fire Service, the SA Metropolitan Fire Service, and the SA State Emergency Service.
