2019 SA Disaster Resilience Grant Funding

 

How to apply

Fill out an expression of interest form.

Email your completed form to SAFECOMGrantsAdministration@sa.gov.au

Submit your form by 5.00 pm Thursday 28 February 2019.

 

Who can apply?

South Australian organisations:

  • Non-government (not-for-profit) including business associations and community groups
  • Business (for profit)
  • Local government
  • State government.

 
Project time frames

Your project must:

  • have a funding agreement in place by 30 June 2019
  • start on or before 1 July 2019, and
  • be completed by 30 June 2020.

 
What will be funded?

Projects that address disaster resilience in communities by:

  • improving preparedness
  • building capacity and /or capability, and
  • increasing resilience.


Priority will be given to projects that:

 

Existing programs or services, or projects that deliver commercial advantage will not be funded.


How much will be funded?


You can apply for grant funding up to $100,000 (excluding GST) but will need to contribute a percentage of the overall project cost as follows:

Business (for profit) 50% 50%
Local Government 70% 30%
Non-Government (not for profit) 95% 5%*
State Government 50% 50%

* This contribution may be cash or in-kind.
 

The application process

The Assessment Panel will assess all expressions of interest.

Short listed applicants will then be asked to complete a more detailed online application.

The Assessment Panel will assess the online applications and select the successful applications.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome by 30 April 2019.

NOTE: Grant approvals are subject to SAFECOM receiving Commonwealth grant funds by 30 June 2019.
