TREES (DURING EXTREME HEAT EVENTS)

As temperatures increase, trees may without warning drop their branches. The trees that are prone to dropping limbs are usually very large, so the threat to life and property is quite significant.

In the past, SES crews have attended jobs where heat-stressed trees have fallen onto houses, vehicles, power lines and roads, and have resulted in some major damage.

Do not park or set up campsites under trees with large overhanging branches and do not allow children to climb them or play under them.

Your local arborist or council can provide advice and assistance with any specific concerns you have regarding trees at your property or in your area.

TRUCKS

Question: Why isn't there a fire truck at my place, the fire is coming?

The caller may be advised that there are planned responses to assist other communities and should a response be required in their location, an appropriate response will happen, however the general public need to be self sufficient and not rely on a truck in their street. If it is an emergency, the caller needs to call 000 (triple zero).
