Employer Engagement Breakfast

The relationship between the business and emergency services sector was strengthened at an Employer Engagement Breakfast on Wednesday 26 August 2015 as part of funding secured by the Volunteer Services Branch under the Natural Disaster and Resilience Program (NDRP).

Attendees gained an understanding of the benefits of employing Country Fire Service (CFS) and State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers and were able to exchange ideas about volunteering with other businesses and organisations.

The event was an opportunity to discuss the direction of emergency services in supporting and engaging with employers and to build closer relationships so we can better support volunteers and highlight the important work they do.

A number of businesses who have a presence in regional South Australia attended, including those from the agricultural, mining, retail and banking sectors.
